EMERSON COLLEGE GRADUATE STUDIES

Aphrodite’s Arrows

A Master’s Thesis

Abstract:

On a post-grad trip to Santorini, forever New Yorker Georgina connects with her Greek heritage and falls for the blue-and-white island of love. Her days are filled with sunshine, good food, and beautiful Theo. During her three weeks in paradise, she discovers more about herself than she could ever imagine. Happier than ever, Georgina makes a decision that will change her life.

Theo, a Santorini-born bartender, finds a love in Georgina that he thinks only exists in the pages of his novels. While Georgina embraces her free-spirit, Theo welcomes his complexity and opens his mind to spirituality.

Though this piece is a five-sense, full- immersion light-hearted vacation romance, it also includes themes of unhealthy relationships and struggles with self-worth. The coming-of-age novel has a pensive twist of the Past: spirituality weaves its way through the pages. The Gods and Goddesses of Olympus are there to guide them in love and life.
